Thanks for the help. I’ve been playing guitar for about 7 years now, learning on my own and starting at 40 years old!. I play in a band and have been stuck in the same old routine, but the embellishments (along with the pentatonic scale info.) now make sense. Thanks.

Hey guys. Im sorry to do this, but I kinda need the help. I’ve been on Youtube for years, but never felt the spark to create. I just bought a guitar three days ago, and I decided to document my learning experience. If you could maybe check out my first video and show a bit of support for a beginner, it would help me stick with it this time. (Tried when I was 12, and when I was 17. Not a patient kid. Thanks guys. (Tips welcomed and appreciated. Just dont be a jerk about it.)

Dear Marty, today is July 19th and my son who is 13 decided to start playing the guitar.
So I thought it would be fun to try and learn w/ him. That was back in March 2011. I am an old rock and roller 54 yrs young. I stumbled upon your videos on the internet and started learning with you.
At first it was unbelievably hard to even play a simple chord but I stuck with it. Everyday i practiced your lessons on scales and then chords , leads and blues progressions. I’M GETTING GOOD, THANK U MARTY

@ddruff Hey! I’m 10 days out of surgery and I’m finally able to sit up without horrible pain.(no pain meds) Gonna start playing soon. I had my meniscus and ACL rebuilt. Sooo much pain! Can’t wait to do something other than watch crappy tv shows! Hope your knee is recovered. Thanks for writing.
@debluvsvdubs haha, Ive just been off work for 5 1/2 months after ACL reconsruction and have fulfilled a long term goal of learning to play. I got some lessons from a friend and found marty about 2 months ago and my learning curve has rocketed.

Love the lessons! It still seems a bit advanced for a beginner but at the very least you break it down step by step so you can practice over and over
i know evry 1 is gna cuz me and say im shit but im a super beginner and when u tryed xplainin 2 super beginners u went way 2 fast and i couldnt see where ure fingers were?
